Company
In 2003, LifeArt was conceived by founders, Natalie Verdon and Eckhard Kemmerer, after overwhelming research from funeral industry, consumers and governments. This research concluded that new practices and products focused on personalisation and the environment would be a welcomed innovation. Consumers would be a major force in driving the change, seeking greater involvement and more meaningful ways of remembering a loved one.
LifeArt commenced in Australia based on a commitment to listen to families and the funeral industry. Previous attempts at environmental coffin products were of poor quality, visual unappealing, long lead times, limited if any personalisation and very questionable capability. With eight years experience, extensive testing in capability and environmental impact, wide choice of traditional and contemporary designs, and a design service for unique personal designs, LifeArt has set the benchmark for environmental coffins.
Their idea of growth was to tackle the world with not only the leading edge coffin product, but also a clean technology business model based on a unique product platform that would create any shape, any size and any finish. The LifeArt business model is designed to establish a fully operational site, incorporating sales and marketing activities, in a new country, within a short timeframe.
LifeArt is an innovative international company that has patented a commercial solution for lightweight composite fibreboard coffins and caskets, enviroboard (TM). LifeArts' emotional and environmentally friendly coffins have been embraced by influential sections of the funeral industry, by regulatory authorities, consumer advocacy groups and consumers.
