Customer Stories :: A Toast to life
After we all gathered for his burial, or as Bill called it resting in the cellar…we held Bill’s funeral in his home. Helen, his wife, was a wonderful cook and prepared Bill’s favourites. We ate and drank together and then the service began.
We all sat comfortably in lounge room, surrounded by paintings and artifacts that Bill had collected from all over the world. We set up the computer and watched some family films Bill had recorded.

From the movie of their first daughter being brought home, to building his master cellar.….onto snippets of parties, birthdays and weddings. Most of the guests appeared on the screen more than once. It brought back a lot of memories and those years felt like days ago.

We assembled down in his vast cellar. His best friend gave a short speech, as did Helen and their eldest daughter. Many others stood up and shared a story or two and then Bill’s brother read out a letter Bill had written to us all just days before he died. It was a moving thank you letter to all those who stood by him.
